Here's a Few Fun Facts we learnt about Turtles Recently:

1. Turtles species belong to one of the oldest reptile groups in the world – beating snakes, crocodiles and alligators! These creatures date back to the time of the dinosaurs, over 200 million years ago.
2. A turtle’s shell is actually part of its skeleton, so they have their skeleton on the outside of their body. It’s made up of over 50 bones which include the turtle’s rib cage and spine.
3. You know the say "You Are What You Eat" well that is very true for the Green Sea Turtle, they are primarily herbivores, eating mostly seagrasses and algae. This diet is what gives Green Sea Turtle cartilage and fat a greenish color.
